Missed the game last night as I was slinging some corporate dick around the Prudential Center watching the Devils/Leafs, BUT snagging one from the Bruins with your back-up net-minder in goal is enormous. This Ranger team is INFURIATING when they play good teams, because they don't win. Bruins surging, Rangers lose the franchise player for a month, awesome victory last night. The Cam Talbot Era* is off to a good start.
The problem here is, you can't expect this kind of performance for a month straight, and it falls right in the thick of the playoff race. The bottom line is this team will go as far as Hank takes us. Nash has been lights out, Brassard and Stepan have been electrifying and if McDonaugh can step up, this is an TOUGH squad to match-up against. That all goes by the wayside without Lundqvist.
The positive spin here is that his return come March could spark this team to start rolling at the PERFECT time. Here's hoping.
One hour. 60 minutes. Give me an hour with this guy's looks and I'll burn the fucking town to the ground.
